La scena dei duelli e delle sfide tra guerrieri ricorre spesso nei miei lavori dedicati all’Iliade. Le immagini del conflitto tra Greci e Troiani riaffiorano nei miei ricordi, nate dai versi e libri illustrati degli anni di scuola: visioni di eroi, scontri e battaglie.

Le sfide tra eroi sono rimaste profondamente impresse nella mia mente: figure che mi hanno fatto sognare e che ho poi rievocato nei miei dipinti. Queste immagini hanno preso forma sulla tela nei miei racconti pittorici, sviluppati tra il 1985 e il 1995, fino a emergere e dissolversi.

The scene of duels and challenges between warriors frequently recurs in my works dedicated to the Iliad. The images of the conflict between Greeks and Trojans resurface in my memories, born from the verses and illustrated books of my school years: visions of heroes, clashes, and battles.

The challenges between heroes have remained deeply impressed in my mind: figures that made me dream and that I later reinterpreted in my paintings. These images took shape on canvas in my pictorial narratives, developed between 1985 and 1995, eventually emerging and dissolving.
